Saturday Classes with Marley!
This summer Marley Speiser, Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher from New York and Burlington will offer Saturday classes on June 30th, July 15th and August 5th. Class descriptions will follow shortly. These offerings will be either a one hour introduction to Iyengar Yoga or an in depth 90 minute class offered on Saturday morning on these dates. A fine opportunity to study!
Why should you practice Yoga?
"To kindle the divine fire within yourself. Everyone has a dormant spark of divinity in themselves which has to be fanned into flame.”
Teaching since 1982, Mary has been devoted to yoga and to the Iyengar tradition for over three decades. Mary has studied at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial institute in Pune India many times, most recently in February of this year. Mary credits this type of immersion study with enabling her to access the depth and clarity of yoga, and for helping her to guide her students to uncover it as well. Mary is certified at the senior I level and also serves the national Iyengar community as the current Certification Chair. Mary has been offering Iyengar yoga retreats in northern Michigan for 18 years.
