Bali Yoga Out There
February 28–March 13th, 2016
Mary will be co-teaching a Bali yoga trip (called Yoga Out There) next February 28-March 13th with James Murphy, director of the Iyengar Yoga New York Institute. James has been going to Bali every year for 27 years, and times the yoga trip so it convenes on the sacred holidays in Bali. He knows Bali very well and has a wonderful itinerary planned. (he is also an excellent teacher and a great guy). More information and registration form here...
Why should you practice Yoga?
"To kindle the divine fire within yourself. Everyone has a dormant spark of divinity in themselves which has to be fanned into flame.”
Teaching since 1982, Mary has been devoted to yoga and to the Iyengar tradition for over three decades. Mary has studied at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial institute in Pune India many times, most recently in February of this year. Mary credits this type of immersion study with enabling her to access the depth and clarity of yoga, and for helping her to guide her students to uncover it as well. Mary is certified at the senior I level and also serves the national Iyengar community as the current Certification Chair. Mary has been offering Iyengar yoga retreats in northern Michigan for 18 years.
